It was the 1930s — British India was still under colonial rule. In a quiet town called Rajbalhat in Hooghly district, sixty kilometres from Kolkata, a man named Jaharlal Bhar spent decades perfecting the craft of making pure white mishri — a tradition carried in Bengal's bones for centuries. His was not a factory. It was a calling, passed down through generations of careful hands.

Then came his son. Sanatan Bhar — a scholar of Chemistry, a man who loved both science and sweetness — looked at what his father had built and asked a quiet, revolutionary question: what if mishri could be not just sweet, but truly good for you? With this thought, he turned to the tal tree. Pure palm juice, coaxed slowly into crystals. No white sugar. No chemical bleaching. Just nature, distilled.
